Cuban artist Francis Fernandez Trujillo lives and works
in Havana City where he goes by the nickname of ‘Copola’.

While generating thoughts and emotions about our contemporary world, Francis' work is likely to take you on a somewhat peculiar journey. Alternating the use of newsprint, punctured fabrics and laces, drawing and painting, Copola gives you access to a form of hidden cognition, to what is observed and felt, and above all, to what is guessed.

To facilitate your journey, we have organized this small sample of his talent along the following cognitive dimensions: textures, depths, boundaries or limits that body and ego meet and often challenge, outward and inward gazes, as well as points of impact by which life touches us. Check out the COLLECTIONS menu and enjoy your trip!
